Meet Our Staff

Our team of Christian Counselors include men and women who have obtained undergraduate and graduate degrees in Christian theology as well as Counseling. Some of the counselors are pastors and chaplains as well.  All Christian Counselor Board Certifications are provided by the American Association of Christian Counselors or the National Association of Nouthetic Counseling not through the State of Florida.

 

 

   

Christopher J. Cambas, MA, RIMHC, RIMFT

Founder and Director of Operations

Chris Cambas is the founder and director of the Tampa Bay Christian Counseling, Inc and Full Circle Ministries. He obtained a Masters in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Chris is a registered intern with the state of Florida in both Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy.  (IMH 7599 and IMT 1370)  He has been an ordained pastor for 5 years. Chris uses biblically-based, psychologically-informed counseling for individuals, couples and families facing marriage conflicts to include affair recovery and divorce recovery,  addictions, anxiety, depression, narcissism, pre-marital, grief, spiritual challenges and specific personality disorders.  He has a calling to work with couples in crisis to renew their relationships through one-on-one marriage intensives.  His counseling passion is true biblical based spiritual formation.

Robbie Goss, M.A., LMFT, LMHC
 
Robbie Gos is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MT 1854) and Mental Health Counselor (MH 3707).  He is also a certified sex therapist and works with all types of sexual issues.  He is also trained in (ART) Accelerated Resolution Therapy.  Robbie does biblically-based , psychologically-informed counseling for individuals, couples and families facing spiritual challenges, addictions, sexual disorders, trauma recovery, depression, grief and anxiety.

Michelle Childs, MA
 

Michelle obtained her Masters in Counseling from Colorado Christian University in 2001 under the direction of Dr. Larry Crabb.  With nine years of experience in biblical counseling Michelle offers hope, joy, healing and direction to  both men and woman of all ages suffering from childhood and adult sexual trauma, relational issues, anger, depression, anxiety, emotional dependency, post abortion trauma and gender questions.

Through one-on-one spiritual formation (a journey through which we open our hearts to a deeper connection with God, thus we experience a richness in life and faith that is truly renewed day by day) sessions, large group presentations, small group classes, and weekend workshops and intensives, Michelle teaches men and women how to deepen their intimacy with God through listening prayer, and what it means to reflect God's image as male and female image bearers of Christ.  She has presented at National and Regional Exodus Conferences, and is a Certified Living Waters Coordinator.  She has also taught at various other churches in the Tampa area.

Natalie West Southward, MS, RIMHC

Natalie is a gifted counselor specializing in individuals to include teens, college age, parents, couples, and families dealing with life's struggles.  Her desire is to provide Biblical and professional help, hope, and encouragement to those in need.  She guides them through traumas or overwhelming difficulties  by increasing understanding and communication.  Natalie has a passion for people and believes God has specifically placed the calling in her life to walk alongside and help others. 

Natalie is presently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the Florida Licensing Board (IMH 7823).  She holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling  from Nova Southeastern University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Southeastern University.  Natalie also has years of life experiences that help her personally relate to struggles of others.

In addition to her counselor career, Natalie volunteers her time as a leader of Idlewild Baptist Church's Life Hurts God Heals Monday night group designed for middle school and high school age teens.  This group is open to all youth in the community.

An engaging speaker, Natalie has served as a keynote speaker for several community functions and can be booked to speak at your next event by calling this office.

Susan Taylor Adams, MA, C.A.S.
 

Susan Adams obtained a Masters degree in Counseling from Liberty University and is a Board Certified Christian Counselor.  She is also a Florida Certified Addictions Specialist.  Susan has eleven years of experience as a Christian counselor, specializing in women's issues such as depression, anxiety, codependency, childhood sexual abuse, anger, addictions and grief.

 Susan has been involved with recovery/support group ministries for seventeen years.  In addition, she served on staff at Baylife Church as Director of Breakthrough Support Group Ministry for six years.  Susan has a heart for small group ministry and has been active in formation of Facilitator Workshops for local churches, developed training programs for ministry volunteers, and has spoken extensively on various recovery topics for both small and large group settings.

 Susan's passion is to come along side people and help them overcome life-controlling struggles by experiencing hope and healing through the Lord Jesus Christ.  Susan has been married 39 years to her husband, Michael, and they have 3 children and one granddaughter.

Lori Cambas, Operations Manager/Marketing
 

Lori has walked along side her husband, Pastor Chris Cambas, for the past 5 years   working at this counseling ministry.  She handles the overall operations, advertising and marketing.  She has been able to share her testimony with clients and at speaking engagements of how God has so wonderfully touched her heart and life to overcome life's struggles.  "It has been a joy to see how individuals and couples lives can be transformed through a renewed relationship with Jesus Christ".

Helena Van Patten, Office Manager  

Helena has been with the counseling ministry since 2008.  She loves watching the way God works through the counselors and clients, and observing the amazing restoration He can bring to people and relationships.
 
Helena graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelors degree in Psychology in 2007, and will be pursuing her graduate degree.  She also works part-time at the Tampa Bay Family Therapy Center where she assists in facilitating groups for children with behavioral challenges.
 
Helena has been married for five years and has a beautiful 2 year old son.
