S.A.F.E.
Mission
The mission of S.A.f.E. is to make abstinence a desirable, achievable and sustainable lifestyle choice for all unmarried people while promoting sexual integrity within marriage.
To accomplish this mission S.A.f.E. provides classroom instructors for private/public schools, adult/parent seminars, continuing education for medical professionals, resource materials and training for abstinence instructors and speakers for community and church events.
History
Sex and Family Education was established in 1988 in response to the alarming number of pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases among teens. Over the years, S.A.f.E. has experienced remarkable growth! School administrators, teachers and parents have openly embraced S.A.f.E.’s abstinence programs and witnessed the positive physical and emotional gains in the lives of their students.
As a result, Sex and Family Education has become a significant abstinence resource center providing curricula, instructional materials and training to hundreds of organizations world-wide.

Curricula
Changes—Preparing for Adolescence
Two 50-minute sessions present pre-teens with information about their emerging sexuality and strategies for coping with these physical and emmotional changes responsibly. Changes stresses personal worth as motivation for choosing abstinence until marriage.
Recommended for students ages 10–12
You Are Unique—Choosing Abstinence, Because I'm Worth It!
An excellent program for public school students ages 12–15. In three 50-minute sessions, adolescents are given clear, accurate information on the emotional and physical consequences of premarital sex and the emotional and physical benifits of waiting until marriage.
Choices—I Can Choose!
A high impact four part video series promotes the value of sexual abstinence until marriage. Choices is recommended for high school students and serves as an excellent follow-up to You Are Unique.
Sex & Cents—The Cost of Sexual Behavior
One 50-minute session introduces high school students to the correlation between sexual choices and economics. This course focuses on the personal and social economic gains of a successful marriage and the personal and social economic costs of marriage failure.
Recommended for students ages 17–19
Unique Parenting—Beyond the Talk
One 3-hour session or three 1-hour sessions designed to aid parents in setting appropriate boundaries, easing communication on the sensitive subject of sex and building positive relationships with their teens.
